Kyle's soccer team

Kyle plays soccer on a U14 coed team this year.  He's already scored one goal this season and has shot others.  His dad is helping to coach also.

Katie goes to the Temple

Katie received her endowments at the Albuquerque Temple on Aug. 28th, 2014.

Ice Bucket challenge

A crazy thing is happening around the world called the ALS ice bucket challenge.  You get challenged then challenge your friends to get an ice bucket poured on you if you don't donate to ALS which is Lou Gerig's disease.  Some people are doing both.  Here are pictures of Lance & Kyle doing the challenge.

Same shoe size?!

Katie figured out that with the conversion of men's sizes to women's sizes, she and Kyle wear the same SHOE SIZE!  She couldn't resist having Kyle try on her high heel shoes!  He was game to try and even managed to walk without falling!
Looking good!

Heading back down the hall

Katie gets a new car!

Since Lance is driving now and we as parents don't like our teenagers to drive anything newer than 10 years old or so, it was time for Katie to relinquish the mini van and get a new car.  She's a senior in college now and it seemed like the right time for her.  She looked at different makes and models and also wanted a blue car.  This is a Toyota Camry 2014.
This was what she used to drive - it's going to be Lance's car now

We were able to find this vehicle in Gallup.  We're showing our hometown pride.

First day of school. Aug. 12, 2014

Lance is a sophomore

Kyle is a 7th grader

The bus stop is right in front of our house

The boys go to Rehoboth Christian School

Arriving home after the first day of school.

This is what the kids do while they wait for the bus.

On Thursdays it's a late start day so the seminary students including Lance get on at our bus stop

Lance's birthday. He's 15!

Lance's birthday this year was the day before school started.  Luckily, they chose to start on a tuesday so Lance didn't have to go to school on his birthday but he did take advantage of the opportunity to get his driver's permit!
He got 8 new Frisbee's for one of his gifts
Susan brought a gift and we had some fun with her

Lance drove home from the MVD

Lance is 15!

Well we didn't have the right amount of candles so we got creative.  We had 8 regular candles and the #8 and a #0 so we pretended it was a 1 and subtracted it from the 8 to get 15 total!  Genius.
