School musicals

Kyle had a 5th grade music performance at school called "Lights, Camera, Action". 

In music, there is a "karate" type program for learning the recorder.  There are songs the students can pass off and earn their "orange or other color" belt.  Kyle has earned all the way to his "brown" belt so he and Bailey played it together.  He has the "black" belt song learned but didn't pass it off in time to perform.

After the performance at night for the parents, the kids showed off their posters and stories they'd written.

Lance was in an 8th musical at school called "Let's Go to the Rock".  A 50's style play with a good christian message.

This is after the show.  Lance had a main part and did a great job acting his part and singing the songs.

I think he captured the 50's look but it took alot of hair gel to get that slicked back look!

5th grade music day

5th grade students from all over the school district were invited to participate in a choir and music day.  This was started about 9 years ago and Savannah was the first one to attend from our family.  Lance went as a 5th grader also and now Kyle.  What a wonderful experience.  One of the songs was "The Star-Spangled Banner".  What a great age for them to learn and sing the words to this beautiful and important song.
